James Gosden

James is the Principal of Great Yarmouth Charter Academy having previously worked in schools in Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk. James joined Inspiration Trust in July having been Executive Headteacher at North Walsham High School and Millfield Primary School leading the High School from a “Requires Improvement” Ofsted grading to a “Good” with “Outstanding” Leadership and Management.

James is a values-led leader and has the firm belief that culture is the single most important aspect of a school to ensure that standards and outcomes are high and all students feel valued and belong at their school. This starts with genuine mutual respect and includes a carefully designed character curriculum.

Outside of education James is a keen sportsman and still plays rugby and cricket and takes part in running events around Norfolk. Being healthy and active are vital to him and also play a key role in schools.
