Oxbridge success for students of Inspiration Trust
We are delighted to have eight students going to Oxbridge this year from Inspiration Trust schools, including our first ever Oxbridge student from Jane Austen College.
Students will be going on to study a range of subjects at the top universities, including medicine, history, maths and the sciences.
LLoyd Bishop is the first student from Jane Austen College to gain a place at such a prestigious university and will be reading history at Regent’s Park College, Oxford, after securing top grades.
Megan Cole, from Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form, achieved A*, A*, A and will be taking up a place to study medicine at Oxford University.
Megan said: ‘I have wanted to attend Oxford my whole life, I can’t believe I have got the results I need to make it happen. I couldn’t have done it without the staff at Sir Isaac Newton, they have been so helpful and supportive.’
Sir Isaac Newton, as a specialist maths and science sixth form, is building a strong reputation for supporting students in gaining places in the maths and sciences at prestigious top universities.
Many other students from our sixth forms will also take up places to other top universities, including University College London (UCL) and Imperial College London. Our students are supported by a dedicated careers and university destinations programme which helps them to achieve university success. We are incredibly proud of all our students and what they have achieved.
Girls’ achievements in STEM
Many of our fantastic girls at Sir Isaac Newton are bucking the national trend and achieving great success in STEM subjects and taking up places to study these subjects at the UK’s top universities.
