How to appeal
If you have applied for a place at one of our schools and have been unsuccessful, we understand this can be frustrating. If you would like to appeal the decision, there is a process you can follow.
- Download the School Admissions Appeal form (below).
- Complete the return the form, with any additional supporting information, to your preferred school by 30th March 2020.
Appeals submitted by the deadline - 30th March 2020 - will be considered at a hearing.
What happens next?
This hearing will be organised by Norfolk County Council or Suffolk County Council - depending on what county your preferred school is in. The hearing must take place within 40 school days of the deadline.
The Council will write to you and invite you to the hearing - they will give you two weeks notice. You will also receive a copy of a statement detailing why you have been refused a place at your preferred school.
