A Level Spanish is a great opportunity to expand on the GCSE, but in greater depth, looking at politics, society and culture; music and cinema; Spanish-speaking communities. An A Level in a language is regarded by many universities as a ‘facilitating subject’ and can make a significant difference in UCAS applications.

Career / higher education opportunities

Spanish can be taken as a standalone BA degree course, or as a subsidiary subject alongside a number of other courses, such as law, medicine or engineering. Some courses even offer a year of study or work abroad for students.
