This qualification is an advanced (Level 3) technical qualification specialising in business marketing. It is on a par with A Levels and has been built in close collaboration with employers and professional bodies which ensures they will not only recognise it, but value it. This qualification has been developed with the Chartered Institute of Marketing which creates professional standards in partnership with employers.
You will study:
- An introduction to the establishment, growth and survival of a business.
- Key concepts and terminology of marketing and how it fits within an organisation.
- Main elements of marketing communications, customer relationship management, communications methods and tools, and development of an outline marketing communications campaign.
- Key concepts associated with digital marketing.
After completion students then need to complete a range of optional assignments in order to reach their 120 credits.
This qualification contains externally examined and internally assessed units. Internally assessed units are externally verified and moderated by AQA.
The units are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction, and the overall qualification is graded as P, M, D*.
Career / higher education opportunities
Progression from this Level 3 qualification will lead to work as an assistant, clerical or practitioner role in industry. Learners could also access a higher apprenticeship and degrees.
