New homework club to support pupils

A new three-day a week club has been launched to help pupils with their homework.
Running for one hour after school every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the new drop-in club is open to all year groups.
As well as providing a quiet space to work, pupils will also be able to call on staff for additional help and support with any material they are finding difficult.
Headmaster Barry Smith said: "At Charter, we believe that homework is vitally important in order to support pupils to achieve their best. To help ensure that all pupils have a quiet space to work, all the resources that they need to complete any homework set and access to a member of staff who can provide help and support, we have organised an optional homework club to help pupils with this."
Pupils and their families can also contact their head of year for support if they are having any issues with homework.
