World Book Day celebrates love of reading

Published on 08/03/19

Students and staff at Hethersett Academy celebrated all things literary with reading-related fun on World Book Day.

Staff came to school on Thursday, March 7 in costumes inspired by their favourite book characters, with a particularly strong showing from the English department.

A literary treasure hunt took students all around the school and into many different genres of writing, with prizes of book tokens for the winners.

And of course, there was time for students to read their own favourite books.

World Book Day is held every year to celebrate books and promote reading in schools across the country.
