Free Saturday workshops for GCSE students
Published on 04/10/17
Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is set to share its science, maths, and technology expertise with GCSE students in a series of free workshops.
The sixth form, based in Bethel Street in the heart of Norwich, will hold café-style sessions on Saturday mornings in November with the aim of boosting students’ GCSE grades.
The workshops run from 9am to 12.30pm, kicking off on Saturday, November 11 with biology and psychology. They’re followed by chemistry and maths on Saturday, November 18, with physics and computing on Saturday, November 25.
Students will be able to discuss their topics with the sixth form’s expert teachers in a relaxed environment, and have a taster of studying at the UK’s first maths and science sixth form.
Principal Chris Jennings said: “We know GCSEs can be challenging, and having a little extra help can really boost your understanding and help you get the best exam results.
“These workshops have proved very popular in previous years, so I recommend that students book their places as soon as possible.”
