Good plane fun as pupils take on aircraft challenge

Pupils at Norwich Primary Academy set their sights sky-high as they took on an aeroplane construction challenge set by the Royal Air Force.
RAF Marham personnel Maurice Howard and Dan Hardwick visited the school on Tuesday, January 22 to talk to Year 6 pupils about the theory of flight.
Pupils put their new knowledge into action with a ‘penny plane’ challenge, using paper and lightweight balsa wood to construct model gliders with a one-pence coin as a balancing weight.
The young pilots earned their wings with a test flight of their aircraft down the length of the school hall.
