Sixth form students at Jane Austen have achieved Norwich's top A Level results.
Provisional figures show that Year 13 students achieved a remarkable 88% A*-C grades, a figure topped in the city only by fee-paying school schools.
Nearly a quarter of grades received by students were A*/A, helping secure some top university places.
Principal David Thomas said: "Our sixth form has now firmly established itself as one of the top in Norfolk, and these results only add to that.
"Students have had the first year of new tougher exams without AS Levels, and our young people have definitely risen to that challenge."
