Students from Jane Austen College had a ball at an action-packed residential sports trip.
The group of 70 students from across all year groups visited Shropshire’s PGL Boreatton Park activity centre for a weekend of indoor and outdoor sports from May 11 to 13.
They played in a national netball tournament against teams from schools across the UK, and boosted their football skills with guidance from high-level FA coaches.
Off the pitch, more adventurous activities including climbing, raft building, and abseiling helped build students’ communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Head of PE Ben Atkins said: “We received a number of compliments from the trip leaders and other schools about how polite and respectful our students were.
“The PE department would like to thank all students who attended for their exceptional behaviour and resilience, and we look forward to running the trip again next year.”
