A 'speed networking' event with the region's employers was just the job for Hewett Academy students looking for the perfect career.
Twelve professionals from industries including law, recruitment, engineering, and property lettings were grilled about jobs in their sectors by Year 9 students on Thursday, February 28.
Norfolk-based illustrator Rebecca Osborne was also on hand, using her artistic talent to make a visual record of the day’s experiences.
The companies taking part said they were incredibly impressed with the conversations they'd had.
Students added to the positive feedback, with comments including “I’ve learned not to be afraid of learning from failure” and, “The most useful advice I received was not to panic, but to follow my dreams.”
Hewett Academy careers manager Natalie Freeman said: “This was a fantastic event which our pupils got a lot out of.
“We look forward to using the skills learned in this session at the Norfolk Skills and Careers Festival which our students will be attending on March 6.”
