GCSE booster sessions on offer over Easter

Published on 20/03/18

With GCSE exams just a few weeks away, Year 11 pupils at The Hewett Academy can boost their knowledge with revision sessions running over the Easter holidays.

The free sessions will give pupils an in-depth look at key topics and texts in subjects including English, maths, science, and languages, with support from subject teachers.

Photography, art, and design students will have the chance to complete their coursework as well as preparing for their exams.

Students should sign up via the letters that have been sent home, and bring a healthy packed lunch for sessions running over lunchtimes.

Vice principal Antony Little said: “Our dedicated staff and students are determined to produce another great set of GCSE results, so they’re giving up time in their holidays for revision sessions which will boost students’ knowledge and confidence as their exams approach.

“We look forward to seeing our students and supporting them to achieve their best possible results.”

Please note: due to work on the new sports centre, the vehicle exit on Cecil Road will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians during the Easter break. Students should use the vehicle entrance gate to enter and leave the site, and take extra care as there will temporarily be two-way traffic.
