Students from East Point Academy were rewarded for their commitment to extracurricular clubs with a special trip to watch England win at Wembley.
Over thirty pupils joined a 90,000-strong crowd to watch England take on the Czech Republic in the opening game of their World Cup 2020 qualifying campaign.
The home team delivered a 5-0 thrashing to their opponents, with a hat trick from Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
The trip was offered to pupils who regularly attend East Point’s wide range of extracurricular sports clubs and fixtures.
PE teacher Nathan Welton said: “It was an amazing trip and the pupils loved it.
“They were an absolute pleasure to take.”
