Maths camp adds to students’ confidence

A weekend maths retreat at a country house proved a winning formula for GCSE students at East Point Academy.

Fifteen Year 11 girls spent the weekend of March 29 and 30 at an intensive maths camp hosted by East Point governor Miranda Kendall and her husband William at their Suffolk home.

Students built their confidence in key topic areas over a series of intensive 45-minute sessions, focusing on improvement areas identified following their mock exams.

Head of maths Emily Spence said: “This is the third year running we have run a maths camp and once again it proved a huge success. The students thoroughly enjoyed staying in what was a perfect environment for their maths revision sessions.

“I would like to thank Miranda and William for their wonderful hospitality and giving us such a warm welcome to their beautiful home.”
