Inspiration Teacher Training holds virtual end of year ceremony
Published on 08/07/20
This year's trainees have had extra challenges to face, and have continued to provide support to children remotely. The restrictions did not deter Inspiration Teacher Training from celebrating their efforts- this year's ceremony went virtual!
With restrictions still in place, Inspiration Teacher Training had to get creative with this year's end of year celebration. The 2019-20 cohort joined the virtual celebration, including Inspiration Trust Chief Executive Dame Rachel De Souza who joined to congratulate the cohort and read a poem.
The end of year celebration included talks from trainee representatives on their experiences from, what has turned out to be, an eventful year!
Despite the added pressures of the last few months, feedback from the ITT trainees has been fantastic. One trainee described it as "The most fulfilling year of my life", with others commending the course, content and placements. Another said, "What an amazing year, hard work, fun and most importantly I've made friends for life."
Course Manager Bethan Hislop, described the virtual event as "extremely positive, with everyone very happy and relieved to have reached the end of the year".
Director of Inspiration Teacher Training Carmel Greene commented, "it is fantastic to be able to celebrate the tremendous achievement of this year's cohort, and to show our appreciation and thanks to all of those that have helped them to reach this point. Undertaking teacher training is hugely challenging, and this year has been particularly so. We are incredibly proud of our trainees and wish them all the very best for next year."
We would like to congratulate this year's trainees, and extend our thanks to all of those who have supported the work of the SCITT over the past year, including those mentors and course leads that stepped up to provide extra support to our trainees with remote teaching.
