Changes to school bus routes

Published on 03/07/19

We have been advised of changes to local bus services which may affect students travelling to Hethersett Academy from this month.

GoEastAnglia (KonectBus service) has advised that changes to the 9A Konectbus service will take effect as of Sunday, July 7. The 9A as it currently exists will no longer run and the journey between Cringleford and Hethersett Academy will be operated by their number 6 for all current passengers; the number 6 will adopt the same route as the 9A but will NOT include the NNU Hospital.

As of Monday, July 29 a route 9 will be run by Semmence Coaches and, from September, will transport pupils with Norfolk County Council issued bus passes from Cringleford to Hethersett Academy. The Konectbus route 6 will transport the fare-paying children from Cringleford to Hethersett Academy.

Any current passes purchased from Konectbus service 9 will be honoured by Semmence on the new service 9 for journeys to and from the NNUH.

Please note that the new service 9 with Semmence Coaches will start at Silfield and will not serve Attleborough or Besthorpe. Services from Attleborough into Norwich are available with First Bus and KonectBus.

Anyone with comments or questions regarding this information should contact Semmence Coaches (01953 602135 or email sales@semmence.co.uk) or Konectbus (03300 539358 or email feedback@konectbus.co.uk).
