Great Yarmouth Primary take to the beach!

Year 5 students clean up for local community

Year 5 pupils from Great Yarmouth Primary Academy took to the beach to clean up
unwanted litter.

In geography last term, year 5 pupils from the academy were learning about our oceans and the impact plastic pollution can have on them.
Living in a coastal town, the pupils were keen to help clean up. They decided to spend the afternoon on Great Yarmouth seafront, cleaning the beach and removing any litter they found.

Principal, Peter Bloomfield, went to see the good work they were doing and was very impressed by the children’s behaviour and, along with the other
teachers present, was very proud of all of the students for joining in and taking the clean-up seriously.

Special thanks was given to the families who joined the school on this trip, leaving the beach litter-free and sparkling clean!
