Summer treat for young carers
Published on 11/07/19
A group of young carers at East Point Academy enjoyed a break from their extra responsibilities with a day of fun and relaxation at a country house.
The pupils, who all balance school work with responsibilities such as caring for an ill or disabled family member, were invited to spend a day at the home of East Point governor Camilla Prior.
Camilla laid on a special day for the students including swimming, playing tennis, football, croquet, table tennis, and strawberry picking.
A tasty BBQ was enjoyed by all and the students returned home tired but very happy.
Our thanks to Camilla for organising such a wonderful day.
