Orchestra visit strikes a chord with students

Students at East Point Academy ended the week on a high note with a special performance by a live orchestra.
Musicians from Norfolk Music Hub visited the school for a live concert and workshop on Friday, May 17.
They took the children on a musical trip through history, performing pieces from medieval times to the current day, via classical composers, Abba, and the Star Wars theme.
Along the way the musicians introduced the pupils to their instruments, including the violin, flute, and trombone, explaining how and when they were invented.
The visit was organised by Inspiration Trust director of music John Stephens as part of Norfolk Music Hub’s Live Music Week, which visits schools to inspire young people to get involved in music.
