Late collection charges

Whilst the nursery supports working families and understands the difficulties of balancing work and family commitments, it reserves the right to charge additional fees for children who are collected late. A fee of £1 will be charged per 1 minute period. This will be charged in arrears and added to your next invoice.

Early Education Funding

Government funding is intended to cover the cost to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare only. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours or additional services.

Every child is entitled to up to 15 hours per week early education funding for 38 weeks per year/term time from the term following their third birthday until they start school. This gives a total funded provision of 570 hours per year. For children attending daily places the nursery will provide a stretched offer whereby families will stretch their child's entitlement over the full year; 47.5 hours per calendar month would be deducted from the monthly invoice. Due to the stretched offer, families can claim up to 11.00 hours per week, all year round.

The free entitlements will be delivered consistently so that all children accessing any of the free entitlements will receive the same quality and access to provision, regardless of whether they opt to pay for optional hours, services or meals.

Additional hours and services will be charged at the current hourly rate where hours are not funded as Early Education by the Local Authority.

The entitlement is offered free. Parents will not be charged a "top-up" fee to recoup the difference between the amount received from the Local Authority and the current hourly rate.

Extended Early Years Funding (30 hours' free childcare)

If eligible, children and their families may be able to claim the 30 hours free childcare. We are offering this funding through our stretched offer which means families can claim up to 22.25 hours per week, all year round.

Trips

Charges for additional services such as trips will be agreed in advance with families.

Registration fees

There are no registration fees for the nursery.

Deposit fee

There is a £50 deposit payable to secure your child's place when a space has been offered prior to their start date. This deposit will be refunded to you on your first month's invoice.

Holiday

Families accessing Early Education Funding - If ou are going away on holiday, please let us know the dates. Nursery can claim early education funding for the time you are away. You will not be charged for food.

For families paying nursery fees - You will be charged your normal nursery fees for the time you are away to guarantee your child's place in nursery.

Discounts

Siblings of children already attending the nursery will be offered a 10% discount on fees paid.

Amendments to funding during claim period

If there are any amendments to funding during a claim period, these will be added to the next invoice.

Invoices

All families will be issued an invoice monthly. The invoice will be itemised to provide clear and transparent information concerning the charges as agreed in the parent contract. It will allow parents/carers to see that the entitlement is received completely free of charge and understand additional fees that have been applied.

Detailed receipts will be issued for all cash and cheque payments.

Invoices will be issued on the 1st of the month and will be due for payment within 10 working days of the date of the invoice. If an invoice is not paid by the due date a 10% late payment fee will be added to the following month's invoice. Invoices are to be paid by BACs, standing order or bank transfer. Invoices or part of can also be paid using childcare vouchers.

It is essential that you quote your child's name and account number as a reference for all payments. This will help us identify your payment and credit the correct account. Your account number can be found on your invoice.

Monthly fees are calculated by multiplying the weekly fee by 50 weeks and dividing by 12 calendar months. There is no charge for days when the nursery is closed over Christmas or the last week of the summer holidays, or for bank holidays throughout the year. However you are still charged if your child is absent due to illness or holiday.

Any additional sessions provided on an ad-hoc basis will be charged in arrears and added to your next invoice.

Unpaid invoices

If the balance of your invoice is not paid by the next month then a 'brought forward' balance is added to the next month invoice total, including the 10% charge for late payment. A letter stating the agreements for payment of the balance will also be attached. If the balance is not cleared within the 10 working days then a final notice will be given. This may affect your child's placement in the nursery if left unpaid.

Notice period

A minimum of four weeks' notice or four weeks' fees in lieu of notice is required from the parent/carer to terminate a child's place or reduce the number of sessions normally taken by the child.
