Families, pupils, and staff at Charles Darwin Primary came together to celebrate the school's grand opening in the summer sunshine.
Over 300 people attended the school’s Summer Fair on Friday, July 5, with an official opening by Sheriff of Norwich Dr Marian Prinsley.
Families enjoyed performances from the school choir, readings by pupils, and stalls including a tombola and hook-a-duck.
In the animal corner children cuddled with chickens, rabbits, and a pig and sheep.
The city centre school opened its doors in 2016 and now teaches children from Reception to Year 3, with pupils joining its first Year 4 classes this September.
The former office building has recently undergone a significant refurbishment including a new library, double height sports hall, and outside play areas.
Principal Jo Brown said: “It’s been an incredible journey since we first opened and our staff and families have been incredibly supportive.
“We’ve had a wonderful afternoon celebrating all we’ve achieved so far and I can’t wait for the next chapter in our school's life.”
