An inspiring year of sport!
Back
We have had an incredible year of sport this academic year, with over 1000 pupils taking part in 13 packed-filled days.
With a penchant for sport, we pride ourselves on not only being able to offer our students a nationally-recognised sports curriculum, but a multitude of different sports outside the classroom too! Throughout the year, pupils have taken part in football, swimming, badminton, rugby, tennis, dodgeball, netball, basketball and two excellent Athletics Days for both Primary and Secondary pupils.
All pupils competed admirably, showing great sportsmanship and spirit during the events and cheering on their peers. Sports enabled pupils to learn vital skills such as the importance of team work, determination, patience and perseverance. It is also proven that taking part in sport encourages higher standards of achievement, improves cognitive function and improves overall well-being through having fun and making friendships.
Paul Wayman, Inspiration Trust Sports Coordinator said:
"What a year of sport! I am very proud of all pupils that competed in the events throughout the year, showing great sportsmanship, determination and resilience in every sport. They are a credit to their school. A massive thank you goes out to everyone who assisted with the events, facilitating the smooth running of the competitions - we could not have done it without your help. I look forward to seeing everyone next year!”
