School life

Charles Darwin Primary is a new primary school for Norwich, which opened in September 2016. We cater for students between the ages of 4 and 11 and have excellent links with Jane Austen College which is situated in close proximity.

In September 2016 we welcomed children into Reception and Year 1. We feel that by starting with the Early Years phase and Year 1 this will give our school an excellent grounding. We have strong expertise in these age ranges to enable us to provide the exceptional education that we can build upon in later years.

Charles Darwin Primary is a free school, which means that it is a state primary school for students of all abilities. We are not selective, as we believe all children are entitled to an excellent education. Our vision centres on setting our standards high and making sure we meet them - the families of Norwich deserve nothing less.

Excellent teaching and learning, combined with a high quality academic curriculum and the highest levels of support and nurture for all students will ensure the highest standards are met.

We help our students build independence, character, resilience, leadership skills and a love of learning. Our culture is focused on promoting excellence, supporting our students in achieving their academic potential and developing aspirational children with bright futures.
