Our exam results
Since becoming an academy, our students have achieved record exam results with achievements over the last three years placing Hethersett Academy among the country's top schools.
In 2017, 80% of students gained the new 4+ in GCSE English and maths, with 67% reaching or exceeding the higher 5+ level. A quarter of all grades were at A*/A or their new numerical equivalent, with four times as many students getting the new top 9 grade in English or in Maths as the national average.
These phenomenal results are evidence of the high expectations, determination, resilience, and hard work of both students and staff, for which they must be highly commended.
But Hethersett is no narrow exam factory: our students enjoy a rich cultural and sporting life with music, drama, and arts groups; frequent public performances; and high-quality team and individual sports.
We remain determined to ensure every child that attends Hethersett Academy will achieve grades that match both aptitude and industry, and leave a well-rounded individual with the social and cultural skills to complement their academic knowledge.
