Welcome from the Principal

Richard DoldingWhy are we so proud of East Point Academy? The answer is simple: it's the way our students and staff work together to ensure our young people get the best possible start in life.

East Point is not just the best performing high school in Lowestoft, we outperform nationally too. Our students make more progress and achieve better GCSE grades than at any other high school in the town.

Ofsted agree too - they have rated us Good overall, with Outstanding leadership and management. That's the strongest report card of any school in the area.

In 2016 our pupils achieved the highest levels of progress and attainment in Lowestoft. 62% of pupils achieved English and maths at grades A*-C.

In the Government's new progress measure, which shows how well students do at secondary school, we scored above the national average at +0.26 - the only school in the town to get a positive score.

Our staff and pupils are rightly very proud of these significant achievements - we celebrate each other's success and have pride in what we do. I am fortunate to lead a committed staff team who are dedicated to the town's young people.

As part of the Inspiration Trust - ranked the country's best peforming group of secondary schools - East Point Academy can also call on colleagues across the Trust to ensure the best for our students.

We want to give every young person the very best start in life. Please come and visit us and see for yourself how your child could benefit.
