About Sir Isaac
Newton Sixth Form
Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is the UKs first mathematics and science sixth form.
The sixth form opened in September 2013 in the old fire station building in the heart of Norwich city centre. The sixth form's mission is to lead in the development of science and mathematics teaching across the UK.
Our aim is to provide a truly exceptional education that will support students with progression to the UKs top universities and into successful careers in the STEM industries. We want our students to become the leaders of their generation.
Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is has a strong partnership with Jane Austen College, which has meant that the curriculum on offer is wider. This has enriched the experience of students at Sir Isaac Newton, without losing our science and mathematics focus.
In 2014 Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form became the lead school for the Norfolk and Suffolk Maths Hub, along with Kesgrave High School in Ipswich. This enables Sir Isaac Newton staff to work closely with schools across Norfolk and Suffolk to drive up the standards of maths teaching across the two counties.
Sir Isaac Newton benefits from being part of the Inspiration Trust - an academies trust committed to providing the best possible education for young people. We have a proven track record of transforming educational standards and will bring that unique expertise and experience to the first specialist science and mathematics sixth form in the UK.
