Santa’s little helpers spread Christmas cheer

Published on 14/12/18

Kind-hearted students from Thetford Academy have made a bumper delivery of festive goodies to help families in need this Christmas.

The collection for Thetford Food Bank was organised by members of the sixth form student union, who gave assemblies about the scheme and shared lists of suggested items to be donated.

Students and staff from across the school got into the giving spirit and filled boxes with essential food packets, jars, and tins to help Thetford families who are struggling to afford to eat.

Sally Knight, curriculum leader for RE and social sciences, said: “On behalf of the student union and Thetford Food Bank, we’d like to thank all students and parents who got involved – your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
