Students stand up to beat bullying

Students at Thetford Academy gave bullying the boot as the school celebrated Anti-Bullying Week.
The week of activities kicked off in style with Odd Socks Day on Monday, November, 12, with students coming to school in their brightest mismatched socks to celebrate their individuality.
Cyberbullying Day on Thursday, November 15 encouraged students to think about how they can keep themselves safe online, use social media responsibly, and get support if they are worried or upset by something they’ve seen online.
Anti-Bullying Week 2018 was organised by national charity the Anti-Bullying Alliance to raise awareness of bullying and support children affected by it.
Throughout the week, Thetford's prefects and anti-bullying ambassadors led assemblies to promote the campaign's message of respect and support.
