Audiences are invited to dress the part for The Thetford Academy’s production of F Scott Fitzgerald’s classic, The Great Gatsby.
Set in Long Island during the 1920s, the story follows the fortunes of young millionaire Jay Gatsby and his self-destructive obsession with the socialite Daisy Buchanan.
The performance takes place on Thursday, February 9 at 7pm, with doors opening at 6.30pm. Tickets are £5 including refreshments.
And ticket-holders are encouraged to add to the occasion by coming along in 1920s-style evening dress.
The show is an examination performance for the cast of Year 13 drama students and student director Karis Ahmed, who said: “I chose to direct The Great Gatsby as I've always been in love with the story.
“My entire cast have been fantastic in working professionally and have respected my direction throughout.
“Working with my peers to produce The Great Gatsby has truly been wonderful and I've loved the whole experience.”
