You’ve been framed: art club brightens up new hotel

Published on 14/12/17

Pictures by Stradbroke Primary Academy’s art club have brought a seaside vibe to the rooms of a new Wetherspoon hotel in Great Yarmouth.

The Troll Cart hotel – named after a small cart that used to transport goods along the town’s narrow ‘Row’ streets – used the children’s artwork to decorate its brand-new hotel rooms, with seaside themes including rollercoasters and sticks of rock.

The children were guests of honour at the hotel’s opening ceremony on Tuesday, December 12, where they saw their framed artwork proudly on display.

Head of school Tanya Blake said: “Thanks to Mrs Viner, who leads the art club, the children had a fantastic opportunity to create art for a particular purpose and see it on public display.

“The children enjoyed the opening ceremony and were superb ambassadors for the school, with impeccable manners and behaviour.

“Well done to all the members of our art club.”
