Top results for Hethersett students

Published on 24/08/17

Students at Hethersett Academy have posted another impressive set of GCSE results.

This year's exams see the start of a move to a new numerical grading system between 9 and 1, replacing the old A-G regime, and the removal of coursework assessment. English and maths have already changed, with remaining subjects to follow over the next two years.

Students at Hethersett Academy saw the Inspiration Trust's highest results, with 82% hitting the headline measure and 70% hitting the higher Grade 5+ level. Overall, a third of results were A*/A or the new numerical equivalent.

Principal Gareth Stevens said: "I am delighted to be celebrating excellent results with our students, which they have worked exceptionally hard to achieve.

"The performance of students at the highest grades was especially impressive, with more than a third of grades at A*/A or equivalent.

"Staff commitment to ensuring that every student achieved their best, together with outstanding parental support, makes Hethersett Academy a special place, and one of the foremost schools in the east of England."
