A team of keen skiers from Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form put in a cool performance at an inter-school dry slope competition.

Oliver Steward took second place in the under-19s category of the Eastern Region Snowsports Association’s Schools Artificial Ski Slope Championship, held at the Norfolk Snowsports Centre on Sunday, April 29.

He was joined by fellow sixth formers Patrick King and Kyle Kerr for the team event.

About 20 schools from across the region competed in the day of races, aimed at encouraging more young people to try competitive skiing.

Principal Chris Jennings said: “We had an exciting day of racing with strong performances and teamwork from the Sir Isaac students.”
