Who needs an Xbox? Children discover joys of classic toys

Published on 10/12/18

Children from Norwich Primary Academy played with the must-have toys of years gone by in a museum visit exploring how families used to live.

The pupils got their hands on classic toys like a jack-in-the-box, wooden cup and ball, and Jacob’s ladder at the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell on Tuesday, December 4.

The museum tells the stories of people’s lives in Norwich from the Middle Ages to the present day.

The children enjoyed exploring exhibits including vintage board games, household items, and furniture, and dressing up in the museum's collection of old hats and shoes.
