Life’s a beach for Year 3 children

Norwich Primary Academy’s Year 3 children ‘shore’ had a great start to the new term, with a geography and team-building trip to the seaside.

They visited the coastal town of Wells Next The Sea, known for its picturesque beach huts, golden sands, and pine woods.

The children learned about the North Norfolk coastline’s geography, tides, and animal inhabitants, and got busy with buckets and spades to make some impressive sand art.

They went on a minibeast hunt and created their own minibeasts using clay, googly eyes, and natural resources which they’d found in the beach and woods.

Principal Tessa Holledge said: “The children learned a huge amount about Norfolk’s coastal habitats on this fantastic field trip.

“It was great to see how well they worked together and what a positive start they have made to the new school year.”
