Pupils from Norwich Primary Academy have enjoyed a fun-packed day at a gymnastics festival for primary schools.

The festival took place on Wednesday, January 25 at Easton Gymnastics Club with the aim of encouraging young people to get involved in gymnastics.

Pupils from Years 1, 2, and 3 took part in activities including floor and vault work, trampolining, and the parallel bars.

They were guided by coaches from Easton Gymnastics Club, sports students from Easton and Otley College, and GCSE PE students from Taverham High School.

Norwich Primary’s PE co-ordinator Helen Carr said: “This was a brilliant opportunity for the children to try out the club’s fantastic gym equipment, get active, and have lots of fun.

“They took part in loads of different activities and enjoyed themselves enormously!”

Jon Osborne from the Norwich School Sport Partnership, which organised the festival, said: “It was brilliant to see so many young people leave the event inspired to take part in more gymnastics in the future.”
