Jane Austen College’s musicians, singers, and dancers have shown off their star quality in an evening of entertainment which raised £500 for Children In Need.
The fundraising show, which took place on November 16 in the college atrium, was the brainchild of Year 9 student Molly Payne.
Thirty talented students took to the stage over the evening, performing music by a diverse range of acts from Mozart to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The audience was also treated to stand-up comedy and contemporary dance performances.
Music teacher Thomas Corin said: “The concert was a fantastic event that allowed students to demonstrate their commitment in raising awareness for such an important charity.
“The diverse range of acts that performed celebrated the sheer range of musical talent that we have at Jane Austen College.
“Every performer displayed a high level of confidence in their performance and communicated their enjoyment for making music.
“We are very proud of Molly for organising this event! Thank you to all students, parents and families who attended – your support made for a wonderful atmosphere.”
