Autumn windfall for chosen charities

Published on 01/11/18

Three worthy causes are hundreds of pounds better off thanks to a fundraising day run by Year 9 pupils at Jane Austen College.

Students from across the school dug deep to raise over £650 for Cancer Research, East Anglian Air Ambulance, and Hana's Gift, which supports bereaved families in Norfolk.

The charity day on Friday, October 12, saw students donate money to wear non-uniform to school and take part in a host of fundraising activities.

A treasure hunt, bake sale, and second-hand book sale helped bring the grand total raised to £651.96, which will be divided between the charities.
