A talented korfball player from Jane Austen College is set to court success after being picked to play for England.
Moira Doleman scored a place in England’s international under-15 team having impressed coaches at the squad trials in September.
Moira first took up korfball, which is similar to netball and basketball, in primary school and trains weekly with Norwich City’s team.
She said: “Korfball is a fast-paced game and really good fun. It’s played by teams of eight with four boys and four girls on each team.
“I am excited to have been selected for the England squad and looking forward to my first residential training camp in Thetford - I'm really nervous though!”
The team’s opening international fixture will be an away match in Belgium in November.
Jane Austen principal David Thomas said: “This is a great achievement and we wish Moira and the team every success in the new season.”
