A dancer from Jane Austen College has won an award for her star turn in a major ballet production.

Eleanor Blackburn's performance as a chorus girl and party guest in Norwich Theatre Royal's fairytale adaptation Cinderella In Hollywood was picked out by English Youth Ballet as the best in her age category.

Awarding her the Senior Prize, the judges commented: "Her work was consistent in rehearsals. She improved her pointe-work and she smiled throughout her time with us.

"She showed enthusiasm always and her performance quality was outstanding.”
