A wizard time was had by all at Jane Austen College’s annual Harry Potter night.

Students and staff were spellbound as the school’s Atrium was transformed into the Great Hall at Hogwarts on Friday, February 2.

The evening celebrated JK Rowling’s bestselling book series with activities including owl handling, divination, potion making, and a seriously tricky quiz to sort the muggles from the master mages.

Librarian Robert Welton, who organised the event, said: “Harry Potter night is one of the biggest events of the year at Jane Austen and always hugely popular with students and staff, with lots of fantastic costumes on show.

“This is a great way to celebrate our love of reading and the joy that the Harry Potter books have brought to so many people.”
