A team of Hewett Academy students have given a confident performance at a public speaking competition, impressing the judges to finish in the top three.
Year 11 students Hannah Yardy, Merewa Adbu, and Oli Barnes gave an impassioned speech on the benefits of technology in young people’s lives.
The contest, which was organised by the Rotary Club of Norwich, was held at The Hewett Academy on Wednesday, November 16.
The Hewett students competed against teams from other schools including Norwich School and Wymondham College.
Vice principal Antony Little said: “Oli, Hannah, and Merewa did a fantastic job. Their confidence and expertise shone through – we couldn’t be more proud of them.”
