A sixth former from The Hewett Academy has been highly commended for his entry to a photography competition for students across Norfolk.
Ethan Guttridge, who’s in Year 13, received the award for his photo Red Light at this year’s Norfolk Art & Design competition, organised by Norwich University of the Arts and judged by the university’s vice chancellor John Last.
Photographers from 20 sixth forms and colleges across Norfolk took part in the competition, which celebrates the county’s creative student talent.
Ethan’s work can be seen at a special touring exhibition of the shortlisted entries, which also includes a photo by Hewett student Maika Esley Medina.
The exhibition is at the NUA St Georges Building, Norwich, until July 19. It will travel to Holkham Hall from July 26 until August 29, and Great Yarmouth Library from September 4 to 6.
Hewett Academy photography teacher Francesca Cant said: “Well done to Ethan for his award and Maika for being shortlisted among many strong entries for the competition.”
