Wellbeing evening to beat student stress

Published on 28/02/18

Students and their families are invited to come and find out how The Hewett Academy supports student wellbeing at a special event this month.

The wellbeing evening takes place at the school on Tuesday, March 6 from 6pm to 7pm and will give parents the chance to find out about the support available at school, as well as services offered by external agencies.

There will be a short session on mindfulness, a technique recommended by the NHS for relieving stress or anxiety.

Vice principal Antony Little said: “We know that students can be affected by stress, especially at examination times, and we want to do everything we can to support them.

“This event is a great opportunity for parents and students to find out about the wide range of pastoral support available at The Hewett Academy.”
