Young chefs get a pizza the action in cookery workshop

There was no topping it when students from The Hewett Academy enjoyed a slice of Italian cuisine in a pizza-making workshop.

With help from community worker Christina from Tesco’s Harford Bridge branch, the young chefs chopped and prepared fresh toppings including tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken, and pepperoni to custom-make their own healthy pizzas.

Teacher Jill Lockwood said: “The students produced some wonderful pizzas using a vast array of toppings, and really enjoyed tasting them!

“Many thanks to Christina and Tesco for running the session.”
