Former students invited to inspire next generation

Former students of The Hewett Academy are being invited to give something back to the school by motivating and inspiring current students through the school's new alumni network.
The Hewett has partnered with the national education charity Future First in a new programme for alumni to help the students of today find the right path into higher education or employment.
There are many ways in which alumni can help the next generation of Hewett students – by acting as a career and education role model, providing work experience, becoming a mentor in person or online, fundraising, or even applying to become a governor.
Vice principal Antony Little said: "We love hearing from former students, and finding out all the great things they've achieved since leaving the school is really motivating for our current students.
"There are so many ways to help, and we would like as many people as possible to sign up. It doesn’t matter when you left us, whether you’re in further education or employment, whether you still live nearby or have moved further away.
"We’d also like to invite our former students to come back to the Hewett and see the changes to the school; you are most welcome for a tour at any time.”
