Students inspired by hands-on science roadshow

Published on 14/11/16

Science students at East Point Academy got their hands on some fantastic interactive exhibits when the academy hosted a week-long science roadshow.

The COSMOS Roadshow, organised by Cambridge Science Centre, came to Lowestoft in October as part of its mission to inspire the next generation of scientists in communities across East Anglia.

And with East Point Academy hosting the event, our students made the most of the interactive learning programme, featuring over 15 hands-on exhibits from the Centre's 2015 Cosmic Exhibition.

They also learned about Tim Peake's space mission and took part in workshops on ballistics and hovercraft.

Pupils from nine nearby primary schools visited the academy to attend the roadshow, which they described as "brilliant".
