Team-building day is a wild success

East Point Academy’s new Year 7 pupils have branched out of the classroom for a woodland team-building day.

They tackled a series of outdoor survival challenges at Ringsfield EcoActivity Centre, near Beccles, in October.

The pupils worked together to build dens, collect firewood, and make a campfire.

After foraging for nettles and brambles to make tea and jam, they enjoyed a wild feast with bread freshly baked on the fire.

Year 7 student support leader Sally Stanton said: “We had an amazing day – the students really enjoyed themselves.

“The bread and jam was a huge success and the bramble tea was surprisingly good!”
