Gospel choir to bring new year cheer to Lowestoft

Published on 21/11/17

An African orphaned children’s choir is set to chase the January blues away with an uplifting gospel concert at East Point Academy.

The Watoto Children’s Choir is made up of children who have lost one or both parents to war or AIDS, and found a new home and fresh hope at Uganda’s Watoto Church community project.

The project supports orphans and widows in the war-torn country by building sustainable communities with essential services such as orphanages, schools, and medical centres.

With a heartwarming show inspired by African rhythms and gospel, the choir has performed in front of audiences across the world, including at Buckingham Palace and the White House.

The performance at East Point Academy takes place on Tuesday, January 30 at 7pm and is free - click here to book your ticket.
