Students from Cromer Academy put in an above-par performance to take the top places in a county-wide golfing competition.

Year 8 student Ruby Patterson swung into first place in the Girls’ Handicap category at the 23rd Norfolk Schools’ Golf Championship, held at the Royal Cromer Golf Club in April.

Mary Keen, who’s in Year 10, took second place, with Casey Patterson and Kalan Barret doing well in the boys’ category.

Headteacher Antony Little said: “Cromer Academy has strong links with the town’s golf club, and it’s great to see our students’ sporting efforts pay off with these fantastic results.”
